Handmade Holiday Shopping Guide Pt. 2

Posted by: Brigitte on: November 24, 2007

To help those who have committed to DIY-or-die shopping this year I bring you the second in a series of helpful and radical shopping guides, because I have awesome taste ;3

Part 2: Stuffed

Part 2 of the guide features all things plush, felted, or stuffed! Nothing says “You rock my socks!” like an inanimate companion with which to wile away the long winter nights. Shops marked with a star (Star!) are places that I have bought items from and, thus, indicates that I am personally vouching for how great their stuff is.

FTWR Deer Stuffie Girl Savage Jackalope

Follow the White Rabbit | $15 | Star! | Emily makes sweet, charming deer stuffies in an amazing variety of colors (I own two myself), plus kitty capes for Pullips! Everything goes fast though so speed is key!

Girl Savage | $25-40 | The Savage shop has been growing in popularity by leaps and bounds lately, but if you’re not sure you’ve heard of it, one word: Feltidermy. Squirrels, skunks, bunnies, and even jackalope are also available in their, erm, entirety.

Details Store SeedlingMy Konos Elephant

Details Store | $24-75 | Really darling, pastel needle felted creations, but not for the cheapskate! Really wonderful magnets and other house-goodness are available as well.

My Konos | $8-28 | Amazingly sweet little needle felted animals, I just adore her work! Right now there’s a lion, elephant, lamb, and pig, but the stock is changing all the time and it’s always crazy cute with a touch of antique, which I love.

Black Lily Pie Elf CatKit Lane Snarfle

Black Lily Pie | $32-42 | Star! | I adore Black Lily Pie and her skeleton and bat stuffies! She also has a ton of other great things in her shop, stickers, buttons, prints, paintings, and even cards.

Kit Lane | $14-16 | Star! | Strangely wonderful and wonderfully strange felted friends in bright colors! The little fellow above is a Snarfle, you can also find Jacabobs and Woodwarts in stock, too.

Fantastic Toys SnowgirlRaewadolly Penguin

Fantastic Toys | $12-45 | There’s this sweet, pastel, fairytale feel to this entire store where you can get gingerbreads, penguins, reindeer, and even mushroom cottages!

Raewadolly | $13-21 | I would be remiss if I completely left amigurumi out of this guide, and this shop has some very cute pieces, including this holiday penguin, and a super adorable Godzilla.

Bemused Lamb by Route 121Cornflake Girl Bird

Route 121 | $12-45 | I find the so-called Bemused Lamb too charming not to include, plus she’s only $12, amazing!

Cornflake Girl | $16-55 | A lot of interesting birds and deer to choose from, her style is very recognizable and completely unlike anything else I’ve seen.

Images are from indicated sellers’ shops, if you do not want me to use your image please let me know and I will remove you ASAP.
