  1. Hilarious and depressing. Your dad’s a wit. I also like that your haiku captures the inclusive turn of the third line in a darkly comedic way. I was tag-surfing haiku for a bit, and yours was the first one that didn’t piss me off by simply counting syllables.
    I have a poem, “The Book of Five Dollar Poems,” that’s about my frustrations and insecurities with all forms of the art. Your stuff gives me hope for bloggers web-wide.

    That’s a great title, I’m glad that my haiku didn’t further your resentment against the well-intentioned but frequently lazy hipster haiku trend. I can be lazy at times myself, but I do try to maintain some sense of faith of the haiku form.
